NATIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS WORK
Here are brief overviews from my work in media relations, sponsored content and crisis communications:
CONSISTENT MEDIA COVERAGE:
.GOV GUEST BLOGGING
In collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs media team in Washington D.C., I produced a series of journalistic sponsored content that resulted in the highest value SEO linkbuilding ever coordinated at Tedder Industries, my employer.

CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS
In the wake of national backlash to a misguided social media post by a colleague at Tedder Industries, I was pulled in to draft crisis communications across seven contingencies:

-
Employee misconduct
-
Key executive transition
-
Death or serious injury due to Tedder product (real or perceived)
-
Employee death in Tedder Industries facilities
-
Negative response to social media post
-
Sales dip leading to layoffs
-
IT compromised – data incident

Two crisis plans were immediately implemented in partnership with legal and communications firms in the coming months.

One, serious injury due to Tedder product (real or perceived), was coordinated in response to a member of the public shooting himself while using a company product (a holster).
The post can be viewed here (it's graphic; a bullet wound).

After working through the plan and deciding the appropriate method of communication, I drafted and published a company statement with oversight from C-level management and contacted the dealer by phone after the dust settled.

After the social media bomb was successfully defused, I stood in on a call with him admitting fault and extending his sales contract.
